Biography

Mr. Buddy Lee Heiney, 72, of Anderson, Missouri departed this life suddenly on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at his home.

Bud entered this life on May 29, 1938 in Lamar, Oklahoma one of ten children born to the late Kenneth and Pearl (White) Heiney. He was raised and educated in Bluejacket, Oklahoma. On May 31, 1975 in Tulsa, Oklahoma he was united in marriage to Sylvia K. Adams and to this union a daughter was born. He retired as Track Foreman with the Frisco and the Burlington Northern Railroad after thirty-six years of service. He and Sylvia purchased a farm in Anderson, Missouri in December of 1976. He loved cattle and for the last several years he raised, bought and sold them. Bud was a veteran of the United States Army and was very proud of his service to his country.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Gene, Clifford, Dale and George Heiney.

Bud is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Sylvia K. Heiney of the home; a daughter, Amy Lynn Heiney of Anderson, Missouri; three sisters, Hazel Heiney of Bluejacket, Oklahoma, Margie Crabtree of Kansas City, Missouri and Winnie Durbin of Diamond, Missouri; two brothers, Tom Heiney of Chelsea, Oklahoma and Ralph Heiney of Guymon, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Buddy Lee Heiney are 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Bro. Ralph Heiney officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Anderson Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Jeff Heiney, Tommy Heiney, Junior Elhart, Wendell Londagin, Jeremy Breiner and Rod Windle. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. On-line condolences may be sent to the family through our website www.ozarkfuneralhome.com.
